Whether your mobile home is occupied or standing empty, Tara Glen takes your security seriously. We have a presence on site every day of the year. Our security team are on the ground in the evenings in the Summer months and do a drive through every night off season. We have electronic gates and barriers which only authorised residents and verified guests may enter. Comprehensive closed -circuit television surveillance operates across the park, providing continuous monitoring of key access points and communal areas. All our staff are local and live within close proximity, there is always someone on hand if the need arises.
Because Tara Glen is a resident-managed, shareholder-owned park everyone here has a personal stake in maintaining the highest standards of community safety and behaviour. Shareholders are not allowed to sub-let their mobiles but can have family and friends use their mobile so long as the manager is informed who is on site. This way the park maintains high levels of safety for all.

Irish golf map
Originally designed under the watchful eye of Christy O’Connor Snr in the early 80s, our 9-hole parkland course plays with alternate tee boxes for variety on your second round. All greens are maintained to USGA standard.
The signature 18th is a par 3 requiring a carry over a lake to an elevated green, with the open Irish Sea as your backdrop. Both Men’s and Ladies’ clubs are fully affiliated with Golf Ireland.
Junior golf
The next generation of golfers.
Mondays in July and August are dedicated Junior Golf days. There is a vibrant Junior Golf programme for children aged 10 and upwards and typically in season there would be over 100 junior golfers playing with their own dedicated prizegiving night each week. There are few clubs that can boast the level of junior participation we have in Tara Glen. If your children don’t play golf today, they may well become the next generation of Irish golfing talent through Tara Glen.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that Golf is the only sport on offer!
2025 and 2026 have seen a major reinvestment in the park’s social heart. A completely redesigned bar and patio area, an upgraded children’s playground, a new function room that can host Captain’s Day and events comfortably, a new den area for children and teenagers, new boules and skittle area, refurbished tennis courts and a packed seasonal activity calendar that makes Tara Glen the most complete private family escape on the East Coast.
There are a number of other activities that run in the park.
Bridge, Knitting Club, Saturday market, Cycle Club, Pilates, Fishing trips to mention a few
Children's activities.
A children’s supervised den runs daily from 10.00 – 12.30 and 2- 4pm Monday – Friday. Tuesday is themed disco night.
There are dedicated camps that run through the season, art, golf, tennis, dance and surf.
There is the annual sports day for all the family, the Sunday sale day where our young guests demonstrate their entrepreneurial talents and indeed the Tara Glen’s Got talent is a crowd pleaser every year.
We have an annual outing to Clara Lara and on those wet rainy days we regularly organise cinema trips.
For those aged 13+ there is a teen den open every night till 12am. The rule is that teens must be in a mobile by 10 or in the teen den – assisting parents to ‘keep an eye’ during the teen years!

In Tara Glen you will enjoy direct private access to Ballymoney’s secluded beaches, a far cry from having to pack up the car and find parking on overcrowded roads not made for the crowds that descend in good weather, one more reason Tara Glen feels like the private escape it truly is.
Ballymoney’s beaches are among the finest stretches of coastline on the east coast and the quality of water is very good, most years achieving Blue Flag quality.
